Ferrari struggles again in Styrian Qualifying
Wet conditions make for an incredibly entertaining Qualifying in Austria.
I sit watching qualifying and cross my fingers for anything but a Mercedes 1-2 and again we are blessed. The top field from what we are used to is again mixed up with difficulty for Ferrari continuing and perhaps got even worse. Roles reversed for VET and LEC as Charles failed to advance to Q3; but didn't miss out on much with VET struggling to show any bit of pace finishing P10.
Mclaren showed consistent pace the whole session with another second-row start and unfortunately Lando being knocked to P9 from a grid penalty in practice session yesterday.
OCO with a great drive showing incredible comfort in the terrible conditions finishing P5 and ahead of RIC; perhaps a bit of confidence for him is what he needs to show out tomorrow.
Sunday will be a new day and new weather with sun in the forecast and a day much like last weekend. It will be hard to think we will see Ferrari contending late-race with the pace they have shown these last couple of days. But again we will look for the likes of Mclaren to contend for another podium and root for VER to take another Austrian GP win.
