Is the grid set for Sunday?

What rain could mean this weekend

FP1 and FP2 have run today with the biggest news coming from Riccardo taking it to the wall and giving the Renault crew a late night’s work for tomorrow. Verstappen sets the pace and the Pink Mercedes are again looking quick.

But tomorrow is much in question with big-time rain in the forecast in Austria. Scheduled both FP3 in the morning followed by Qualifications later in the day, both are at risk of being cancelled or postponed

FIA Race Directed Michael Masi outlines the three possibilities to make sure we go racing on Sunday.

  1. FP3 is cancelled and Qualifications run Sunday morning before the race

  2. Qualifications get postponed to late tomorrow and no FP3

  3. Both FP3 and Qualifications are cancelled; the grid is set from FP2 times for the race Sunday

FP2 Results

Again, names around the top that we aren't used to but maybe it is the new norm. Vettel continues to struggle and further frustrates Ferrari as Charles is managing the slower car seemingly ok.

Packy asked for rain this past pod episode and we may be blessed with his wishes. Looking like a crazy day tomorrow and potential for a crazy grid set on Sunday. For those that thought it was just going to be a replica to last week (which would not be bad) you were wrong.
